SDH Launchpad Sponsorship

Your first serious web project deserves a real launch.

Ask SDH about domain and hosting sponsorship for a focused portfolio, learning or community project. Eligibility, availability and service terms are reviewed for each proposal.

For emerging talent

Fresh graduates, graduating students, career shifters, and builders starting their careers who need a real public project.

For work that belongs in your portfolio

Useful websites, working examples, technical demos, community resources, and carefully scoped digital products.

AI is welcome when used responsibly

Use AI to learn and accelerate, but understand, test, secure, document, and maintain everything you publish.

Application flow

Five clear checkpoints from idea to launch.

Start with a public inquiry describing your project and requested support. SDH can then explain eligibility, review and onboarding.

    LAUNCH

    Receive the launch offer

Approved applicants receive the domain, hosting plan, term, limits, progress checkpoints, and renewal conditions in writing.

Start with your proposal.

Use the public inquiry form; no existing account is required.

What the sponsorship covers

A practical foundation for your first launch.

The exact plan, term, renewal decision, and resource limits are stated in the written approval. Sponsorships are limited and approval is not automatic.

Plan around the essentials

Build around the sponsored domain and hosting. List any paid tools or outside services separately in your proposal.

Included when approved

A defined domain and hosting package for the project in your written offer.

  • One approved domain
  • An appropriate SDH Shared Hosting plan
  • Basic onboarding guidance
  • Client area access and normal plan support
  • A documented sponsorship term

Plan separately for extras

The sponsorship is not a cash grant. These costs and services are not included by default.

  • Cash or allowance
  • Paid design or development work
  • Premium plugins, SaaS, APIs, or licenses
  • Resources beyond the written allocation
  • Automatic renewal or permanent funding

Approval criteria

Show that the opportunity will become something real.

A useful proposal makes the purpose, scope, responsibilities and maintenance plan easy to understand.

Clear purpose

Career value

The project will demonstrate useful skills or create a credible portfolio case study.

Feasible scope

The first version can be launched and maintained with the time and resources available.

Responsible operation

There is a plan for security, privacy, backups, updates, and acceptable use.

Commitment

The applicant can provide progress updates and keep the project active during the sponsorship.

Program guardrails

Build something safe, legal, and genuinely yours.

Projects involving spam, phishing, malware, piracy, unauthorized data, deceptive AI content, unlawful activity, resource abuse, speculative reselling, or services that pose high risks without appropriate controls are not eligible.

Code and content generated with AI must be reviewed by the applicant. SDH may pause or end a sponsorship for abandonment, policy violations, security risk, misrepresentation, or misuse.
