Full payment for the selected term is due upfront as a one-time charge. Renewal is arranged manually; pricing will be confirmed before renewal. A prepaid subscription is the service period, not the uninterrupted validity of one certificate. Later reissuance and installation may be required under issuer and browser rules. Extra names for multi-domain products are quoted separately. Your selected certificate, prepaid term and USD total are carried forward.
Understand the connection
An SSL/TLS certificate helps a browser confirm the server it is connecting to and establish an encrypted connection. TLS is today’s protocol; SSL remains the familiar product name.
With HTTPS correctly configured, information such as login details and form submissions travels through an encrypted connection between browser and server. Identity checks vary by certificate type.

A practical selection guide
Start with your required names and identity checks. Your hosting administrator can help confirm whether a certificate is compatible with your environment.

Checks control of the requested domain. A practical choice when your requirement is encrypted connections without verified organization identity in the certificate.
Adds verification of the organization’s identity. Useful when your business or procurement requirements call for verified organization information.
Applies more extensive organization checks under CA requirements. Choose it when this level of identity assurance is specifically required.
The difference is identity verification. DV can secure login and ecommerce traffic too. No validation level promises a green address bar, a browser-displayed company name or a search ranking improvement.
For example.com and its eligible www.example.com counterpart. A separate name such as portal.example.com is not automatically included.
For example.com and eligible first-level names such as shop.example.com and mail.example.com. It does not automatically include app.shop.example.com or another domain.
Include three eligible names, such as example.com, example.org and portal.example.net. Extra SANs need a separate quote; aliases and subdomains may use separate included names.
Confirm the actual name list before order. This catalog does not offer an EV wildcard certificate or unlimited multi-domain coverage.
SDH supplies the selected certificate and coordinates the manual request, validation follow-up and renewal conversation.
SSL.com is the issuing certificate authority for these products. The CA checks the required identity information and issues the certificate.
Trust depends on valid issuance, supported browsers and devices, and correct certificate-chain and server configuration. No badge can replace those requirements.
A manual process with clear responsibilities
Domain validation is often faster after successful verification. Organization checks can take business days; issuance timing depends on the CA and the information supplied.

Select the coverage and prepaid term. Review the final order details and pay the full selected term upfront. SDH processes certificate requests manually.
You or your hosting administrator generate a CSR and supply the domain or SAN names. Never submit a private key or account password in checkout or an ordinary enquiry.
Prove control of the requested names. OV and EV also require organization checks. SDH coordinates the order; the certificate authority decides issuance.
You or your hosting administrator install the certificate and chain and verify HTTPS. Installation is not included. Reissued certificates may need installation again during a multi-year subscription.
The ordered certificate provides the listed coverage and validation. Installation work and ongoing website care have a separate scope.
A CA warranty, where applicable, has its own conditions. It is not general cyber insurance or an automatic payment if a website is compromised. Reissuance support does not include SDH installation labour.
Frequently asked questions
Check coverage, validation and installation responsibilities before you arrange a certificate.

List every domain and subdomain that needs HTTPS. Your prepaid term and each certificate’s validity are separate, so plan for reissuance and installation.
TLS is the modern protocol used to encrypt connections. SSL is its older predecessor, but the name SSL certificate is still widely used for certificates that support modern HTTPS connections using TLS.
A correctly configured certificate helps encrypt information travelling between a browser and server and authenticate the destination. It does not secure every part of a website: software updates, access controls, malware protection and backups remain separate responsibilities.
DV checks control of a domain. OV also checks the organization’s identity. EV applies more extensive organization checks under the certificate authority’s requirements. These levels primarily change identity validation, rather than simply increasing encryption strength. DV can protect login and ecommerce traffic.
An included, correctly configured DV certificate may be sufficient for your website. A paid product can be useful when you need verified organization identity, a particular coverage arrangement or other specific certificate requirements. Free certificates are not inherently less secure because they are free.
The single-domain products include an eligible www/non-www pair for the selected domain. Other subdomains are not automatically covered. On multi-domain products, aliases and subdomains can count as separate names, so confirm the requested list before ordering.
A wildcard for example.com covers the base domain and eligible first-level names such as shop.example.com and mail.example.com. It does not automatically cover example.org or deeper names such as app.shop.example.com. Choose coverage for every required name.
The listed multi-domain products include three domain or subdomain names. Extra SAN names need a separate quotation. Check whether each www alias and subdomain uses an included name; do not assume aliases are free additions.
A certificate signing request contains the public information needed to request a certificate. You or your hosting administrator normally generate it on the intended hosting platform. Keep its associated private key private; do not paste private keys or account passwords into an order or enquiry.
Many modern hosting platforms use Server Name Indication, or SNI, to support multiple HTTPS websites on one IP address. A dedicated IP is not a universal requirement. Your administrator should check the hosting configuration and any older clients or applications that must connect.
No. You or your hosting administrator install the issued certificate and chain, configure HTTPS and check the result. Installation, server repair, mixed-content remediation and continuous certificate management are separate unless expressly agreed. You may ask SDH about assistance without assuming it is included or free.
Issuance depends on successful validation and the certificate authority’s review. DV is often faster after domain control is verified. OV and EV require additional organization checks and may take business days. SDH does not promise a fixed issuance time.
You prepay in full for the selected subscription period, with a one-time full-term charge. It does not produce one certificate valid for that entire period. Individual certificates follow current issuer and browser validity rules, so later reissuance and installation may be required.
Yes, when required by issuer or browser rules or a relevant certificate change. SDH coordinates reissuance manually under the issuer’s rules. Installing a replacement remains your or your hosting administrator’s responsibility; a supported CA reissue does not include installation labour.
Renewal is arranged manually; pricing will be confirmed before renewal. New validation and issuance steps may be required. The current prepaid price does not guarantee a future renewal price, and the service does not include automatic recurring billing or managed renewal.
Moving may involve securely transferring the appropriate certificate files and private key, or generating a new CSR and requesting reissuance. Your administrator should follow issuer and platform requirements. Confirm eligibility, name changes and any separate work before proceeding.
No. HTTPS protects the connection in transit when correctly configured. A website can still contain malware, vulnerable software or harmful content. Keep website security, maintenance, access management and backup measures in place.
You need domain control and an organization whose identity can be verified under the certificate authority’s rules. The CA may request business information, contact verification or supporting documents depending on your situation. Exact requirements are confirmed during validation; do not send identity documents through an ordinary website enquiry.
SSL.com is the issuing certificate authority for these products. SDH is the seller and your customer contact. The CA checks the required information and issues the certificate; issuance remains subject to its requirements and decision.
Tell SDH which domains and subdomains need protection, whether organization verification is required and which hosting platform you use. We can review the certificate fit with you.
